A group of aspiring Preparatory School skiers used a recent holiday to boost their experience in a sport of choice.
Oscar and Phoebe Jewsbury, together with Harrison and Camilla Simmons, honed their rapidly improving skills at a special Ski School during a recent visit to France.
The four hard-working pupils spent time working on various elements of their skiing with the instructors situated at the facility, working on their technique, grip and ability to handle difficult situations.
They also took part in a series of assessments that involved putting their newly acquired skills to the test, and all four Rydal Penrhos pupils managed to come through their respective Awards with flying colours to achieve their goals.
Each pupil received their certificate, together with a generous round of applause, from Executive Principal John Waszek and Prep School Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 15.
Mrs Hind, said: “Oscar, Phoebe, Harrison and Camilla have really taken to skiing in an extremely positive way, and this latest experience is going to do wonders in terms of their overall confidence as they look to further enhance their skills in the weeks, months and years to come.
“They are a great example of what can be achieved when you throw yourself into every opportunity, and this attitude is going to stand them in good stead throughout the remainder of their time here at Rydal Penrhos and in later life.”
