Netball round-up: February 12

The U13B team struggled against Kings in their first match, but never gave up with some good passes from Ella Northcott and interceptions by Isabel Stubbing's, final score was 12 –2 to King’s Player of the Match Hermione Toulmin.

The team found their form against Ellesmere college with some excellent tactical play allowing the team to lead from the start, final score 10-2 to Rydal Penrhos, player of the match Ella Northcott.

In their final game the girls continued to build upon their performance to beat Abbey Gate College 12-5, with Jasmin Beckett Donald voted player of the match.

On the February 9, the U15’s, U13 A and B teams travelled to King’s School Chester to participate in a three-match tournament.

The U15 team started off playing against King’s with a positive mind-set despite the weather. Excellent shooting coming from Emily Madden, very strong passes from Bella, Beau and Megan. Good intercepts and goal defending from Hannah and Gloria.

The team played well but ended up losing 5-12. Player of the match was Bella Rutherford.

The second game was played against Ellesmere College, the team played very well together, excellent work coming from Sophie. Although they played well, they ended up losing 1-10. Player of the match was Gloria Johnson.

Finally, the third game was played against Abbey Gate College, even though the girls were exhausted, they played very well, and a lot of effort was shown, goal shooter and attack managed to score despite the wind.

The defenders also managed to intercept a lot and made a lot of strong passes, sadly the team lost 6-2. Player of the match was Gloria Johnson.

Very well done to all the girls that took part this weekend.
