Rydal Penrhos’ senior netballers took to the court in the hope of securing bragging rights from a special competition.
The school held its annual Senior Inter-House Netball tournament on Saturday, February 16, which saw the four respective houses compete against each other in a round-robin format in pursuit of some valuable points to determine the overall winner.
It was a morning full of genuine quality from all sides that turned out, with dozens of hopefuls taking the court to further reflect the importance of house competition within the Rydal Penrhos community.
After a very competitive series of fixtures, Payne emerged victorious after a series of standout individual efforts from the likes of Keira Bonnington, Tallulah Batley, Imogen Camp, Louise Weis and first VII captain Nia Humphreys.
Closely following in second place were Morgan House as a result of their exceptional contribution throughout the competition, with Osborn and Wesley rounding off the places in third and fourth respectively.
The points will be added to each house ahead of the Yeung Bowl House Cup, with the winner set to be revealed at Rydal Penrhos annual Speech Day event in May.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “The senior inter-house competition is a culmination of some of our Sixth Formers’ time here at Rydal Penrhos, and they continue to lead by example with their overall attitude, application and overall quality of their play.
“It means a great deal to each pupil involved, and this was reflected in the overall standard of play throughout.”
