A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for her exceptional academic progression with a host of conditional university offers.
Mayowale Adekeye, a Year 13 pupil at the school, thoroughly impressed throughout the strenuous application process to secure five offers from universities across the country.
All of these offers are to study Chemistry at degree standard providing Mayowale secures the necessary A-level results this summer.
The University of Cardiff have offered her a place, with the University of Lancaster, Reading University, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University also submitting offers to further reflect Mayowale’s incredible academic development since arriving at Rydal Penrhos in 2017 at the start of her Sixth Form journey.
She has fully immersed herself into boarding and school life, in addition to assisting with community events such as the annual Charity Bag-Packing Day at Morrisons in Colwyn Bay, which was held in aid of the RNLI.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Mayowale has worked incredibly hard in pursuit of her goals and we are thrilled she has received so many offers ahead of the next stage of her journey later this year.
“Coming into a new country and environment is not easy, especially for someone so young, but Mayowale has taken it all in her stride and been a credit to herself and the dedicated teaching staff that have given her considerable help along the way.”
