Martha Hind appointed Rounders captain

A Preparatory School pupil has been given a big responsibility in what will be her final term at the junior site.

Martha Hind, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, has been chosen to lead the Rounders’ team throughout a series of upcoming fixtures.

The 11-year-old, who played a key role in the school’s U11 Netball side reaching the quarter-final of the Urdd National Championships, brings a great deal of experience to the role in what is expected to be another good season across all age groups.

The pupil, who win join Rydal Penrhos’ senior site on an Art scholarship in September, is multi-talented having succeeded academically, musically and in the performing arts in what has been a hugely busy year for the daughter of Deputy Head Alison Hind.

Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “Congratulations to Martha on being appointed Rounders’ captain for the forthcoming season, and she promises to bring a lot to the role.

“She has been a great source of inspiration to the younger members of the Rydal Penrhos Prep community during her time here, and although she will be sorely missed we looking forward to hearing how she develops down at the Senior School.”
