Lower School pupils at Rydal Penrhos have been honouring a prominent tourist attraction in the region during a special project.
The Year 7 group have been researching the nearby Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay, and were tasked to come up with a music-related video regarding the site.
Ella Northcott, Ethan Akroyd, Jonah Craddock, Tedi Holden, Telor Jones, Sophie Hall, James Gilman, Isabel Stubbings, Abdul Khurram, Corso Cramerotti and Tarum Ramesh have been working hard on devising a routine and learning the lines of a song written on the famous landmark by Director of Music Peter Williams.
They also spent time at the Zoo taking pictures of the vast wildlife at the site, which will be used in a special performance video that is currently in the process of being made.
The group sang and performed in front of the camera last week, and they will be working with the school’s Communications Assistant Dean Jones, together with English and Drama teacher Fiona Earle, during the editing part of the project.
Mr Jones spoke with the pupils about the various elements surrounding video editing prior to filming during a special session.
Miss Earle, said: “Each member of the group has contributed significantly to the project, and they all deserve an enormous amount of the credit for their dedication and teamwork throughout.
“It promises to be a fantastic video that we are very much looking forward to releasing when the editing has been completed, and the project has really captured the imagination of all involved."
