A Preparatory School pupil has become one of the youngest to complete a special learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular Spelling Challenge scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and Year 5 pupil Lily Copeland successfully came through her final assessment to secure her Stage Three Gold Award.
Another to achieve a notable distinction was Year 6 pupil and Deputy Head Girl Violet Roberts, who now embarks on the final level after securing her Stage Three Silver Award.
Both pupils received a certificate acknowledging their efforts from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Executive Principal John Waszek at Rydal Penrhos’ final Celebration Assembly before the Easter break.
Mrs Hind, said: “Lily has done wonderfully well to progress through the stages of our Spelling Challenge at a rapid rate, and to complete the task at such a young age is a testament to her academic ability and determination to succeed.
“This is something that has been a cornerstone of her success across all areas here at Rydal Penrhos, and Violet has also done considerably well and can feel confident about completing the initiative before making the transition to our Senior School this summer.
“I am absolutely thrilled to see two hard-working pupils doing so well and they are thoroughly deserving of all the plaudits that come their way.”
