A young and driven pupil who demonstrates a tremendous presence on stage, Perry will be playing the role of Gavroche for the upcoming Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables.
The aspiring Performing Artist has made an extremely successful transition from Prep to Senior this year, after he successfully secured an Academic and Music scholarship following a successful application process.
There is no doubt that Perry emerged as one of the leading lights during his final year of Prep School life, and he is another that is going to make a significant impact throughout his time at Rydal Penrhos’ senior site when he makes the move in September.
Leading by example as Pembroke House captain and Prefect, Perry has contributed in a variety of different ways in a variety of different fields that has aided his overall development under the care and guidance of Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team.
Academically Perry is absolutely thriving and is a fountain of knowledge, making a lasting impression in the classroom with his enthusiasm and commitment to getting better each and every day.
He really comes to life on stage and Perry has performed magnificently in a number of different concerts throughout the academic year, in addition to playing a starring role in the Year 6 play Aladdin and delivering a memorable solo in the Café Dolphin showcase.
It was no surprise to see take home a haul of awards from the Prep School’s annual Speech Day, receiving the Academic and Music Scholar award, the Science Cup, the Singing Cup and the 6JM Attainment, Effort and Progress Prize for his all-round academic achievement.
This has continued at the Senior School, with Perry throwing himself into every task and opportunity that comes his way, and he is also developing his skills further to great effect at the Paulin Quirk Performing Arts Academy in Llandudno.
Gavroche is a boy who lives on the streets of Paris. His name has become a synonym for an urchin or street child.
He plays a short yet significant role in the many musical adaptations of Les Misérables, sharing the populist ideology of the Friends of the ABC and joining the revolutionaries in the June 1832 rebellion.
