A young and talented pupil who has wasted no time in making an impact on Rydal Penrhos life, Gabriel will be taking on numerous roles during the upcoming Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables.
The Lower School pupil arrived at the Rydal Penrhos on a Drama and Sports scholarship in September, and he has already achieved a considerable amount during his first few months at the school.
Gabriel, who is the younger brother of Year 11 pupil and Swim Wales international Zach, is no stranger to the stage after playing the role of Oliver during the Suitcase Theatre production of 'A Wounded Peace' at Theatr Clwyd in November.
This followed on from his first role with the company in the critically-acclaimed ‘Waiting for Godot’.
The talented Performing Artist also performed exceptionally well during the high-profile Christmas Concert, and his efforts in a sporting environment have been enormously encouraging so far.
His performances on the rugby field have drawn widespread plaudits as he fitted into the side seamlessly, and his endurance running saw him secure a notable achievement at a prestigious national competition.
After securing a place on the Eryri squad for the Welsh Cross-Country Championships, Gabriel finishing 55th overall in an extremely competitive field with older and more experienced opposition.
He was also the second Eryri runner to cross the line, which was a further indication of the overall level of his performance throughout.
Gabriel’s academic progress under the guidance and support of Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff is another notable highlight of his initial time at the school, and great things undoubtedly await him in the future if he continues to demonstrate the same application and attitude across all areas.
