Leavers' Focus: Sophie

As part of a special series of summer features, we turn our attention to our Year 6 pupils as we reflect on their accomplishments and get the perspective of Prep School Head Alison Hind.

The latest instalment of Leavers’ Focus features Sophie Hall:

Although she only joined Rydal Penrhos at the start of the academic year, Sophie has really made her mark which is a testament to how well she fit in with the Year 6 group and her confidence.

This was reflected with some outstanding achievements, with her performance as Princess Jasmin drawing widespread plaudits during a two-night performance that further highlighted her incredible potential in the Performing Arts.

He unrivalled passion and dedication to everything she tries her hand at was another notable feature of her contribution during a busy year, with her motivational techniques during the annual Year 6 Snowdon Summit walk another notable highlight of her time at Rydal Penrhos.

Sophie’s leadership as a Pembroke house captain and Prefect inspired all members of the Rydal Penrhos community, and she received an award for her Energy and enthusiasm at the Prep School’s annual Speech Day on Friday, July 6.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “One would never have guessed that Sophie only joined us at the start of the academic year.

“She is confident and bubbly and has lapped up life this year, taking part in anything and everything.

“At the end of the Year 6 performance of Aladdin, I said how lovely it has been to see hidden talent revealed, and, wow is there some here in Sophie.

“Where did that voice come from? Stunning. Quite rightly it was described as a ‘truly passionate performance as Princess Jasmine’.”
