Leavers' Focus: India

As part of a special series of summer features, we turn our attention to our Year 6 pupils as we reflect on their accomplishments and get the perspective of Prep School Head Alison Hind.

The latest instalment of Leavers’ Focus features India Livingstone:

It did not take India long to settle into the Rydal Penrhos Prep School community, instantly establishing herself as a key contributor to the Year 6 group thanks to her determined attitude and ability throughout a variety of different fields.

Despite only joining in Year 5, the impression India made on Prep School staff saw he given the coveted role of Deputy Head Girl alongside Ella Northcott, which is a further indication of her leadership ability and her overall impact on the school in such a short space of time.

Her academic progression has gained widespread praise from staff across a multitude of different subjects, with India also shining during House events and for sports teams under the stewardship of Head of Girls’ Games Jude Pyves.

In recognition of her exceptional contribution throughout the academic year, India was presented with awards for her Progress and Development in Mathematics at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Speech Day event on Friday, July 6.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “India only joined us part way through Year 5, but soon made her mark.

“She brought with her bags of enthusiasm and energy and threw herself into school life from the outset, making her an ideal candidate for Deputy Head Girl this year.

“She is a very bright and confident girl who enjoys success in her academic studies and works hard across the board, applying herself well.”
