A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos is set to pursue a career in Psychology after some impressive university offers.

Joe Morrow, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has been rewarded for an outstanding application process with five conditional offers from some well-respected further education establishments.

The 17-year-old secured places at the University of Cardiff, John Moores University, Liverpool University and the University of Glasgow on their Psychology degree courses.

He also secured a conditional offer from Liverpool Hope University, where he can study Health and Wellbeing and Psychology upon receiving the necessary A-level results this summer.

This rounds off a hugely successful time at Rydal Penrhos for Joe, who has thrived across a multitude of different areas and has also been a prominent member of the Sixth Form community in his role as Prefect and House Captain.

Joe’s efforts with the school’s Performing Arts programme has drawn widespread plaudits, which included a standout contribution to the Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables and a fine performance in his A-level Drama examination.

He is also a talented rugby player that has earned regional representative honours with Cheshire, and he is also shown considerable commitment to the school’s thriving Duke of Edinburgh programme.

Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Joe is simply everything you look for in a model pupil. He is polite, studious and throws himself into every challenge in a composed and determined manner.

“Everyone at Rydal Penrhos is thrilled with the university offers he has received and we wish him the very best of luck with his upcoming examinations.”
