      Head of English

      Required for September 2018 if available or January 2019

      A dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual is required to teach and lead English throughout the Senior School (ages 11 – 18). The successful candidate will join a thriving faculty with excellent results at GCSE and A Level.

      Experience and proven ability of teaching English to A-level or equivalent level is essential.

      Rydal Penrhos comprises Rydal Penrhos Preparatory School (2 ½ – 11) and the Senior School (11 - 18), and has its own salary scale and allowances. Staff are expected to contribute to the school’s full pastoral and extra-curricular programme.

      The school is in a glorious position between the beautiful North Wales coastline and the mountains of Snowdonia and is within easy access of the major cities via the A55.

      Teacher of English

      Estates Groundsperson Gardener (x3)

      Rydal Penrhos are looking to recruit Estates Groundsperson / Gardener to assist in the provision of the highest standards of maintenance of all outdoor sports playing surfaces, school grounds and gardens across the School estate. Reporting to the Estates Head Groundsperson / Gardener you will work in a small team of grounds garden staff to ensure the cost-effective delivery of services and end-user satisfaction.

      Applicants should be suitably experienced and qualified in sports pitch provision and/or general grounds and garden horticulture maintenance, ideally including cricket squares/wicket preparation plus have the ability to work effectively as part of the grounds and gardens team.

      Hours of work – 37.5 hours per week

      As we are a boarding school with a seven day a week timetable, the successful candidate will be required to be flexible in terms of working days and hours, which may include evenings and weekend working.  A working rota will be determined by the Head Groundperson Gardener and agreed with the Estates Manager to ensure matches/fixture needs are supported as requirements vary throughout the year.

      Wage:  circa £16,000
