A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for a superb application process with some impressive university offers.
Jenny Blackman, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has received five conditional offers from some high-profile universities across the country, which is a testament to her academic progress during a period at Rydal Penrhos that began in Year 7.
She has been offered a place at the University of Bath and Warwick Universities to study Biomedical Sciences with a placement year.
The University of Exeter have offered Jenny a place on their Medical Sciences course pending the necessary A-level results this summer, with the Prefect also securing a conditional place at the University of York and Lancaster Universities' Biomedical Science degree courses.
This is the culmination of an exceptional period at Rydal Penrhos for Jenny, who has thrived in an academic perspective and has played a leading role in the school’s exceptional Performing Arts provision.
Jenny played a starring role in the Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables, with her acting prowess coming to the fore in her portrayal of Fantine.
