A talented Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to climb the ladder of a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
This week saw yet another pupil move higher up the levels, with Year 5 pupil James Treble rewarded for her fine efforts with a Stage Two Bronze Award.
He received his certificate at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 9.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see so many thriving as they strive for gold.
“Congratulations to James for getting one step closer to completing Stage Two, which is a result of his hours of dedication and commitment in preparation for the test.”
