A multi-talented Preparatory School pupil picked up a pair of honours recently.
Isabella Peevor, a Year 5 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, achieved accolades in both sport and music as a result of her wonderful efforts throughout the course of the year.
The ten-year-old was rewarded for her hard work with a Merit in her Grade 2 Flute examination, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music during the spring term.
There was further cause for celebration during Colwyn Bay Hockey Club’s recent awards ceremony, where the pupil picked up the Most Improved Player of the Year honour in the U11 category.
Isabella brought in her certificate and trophy to Rydal Penrhos’ Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 19, where she received praise from Deputy Head Alison Hind and a round of applause from everyone in attendance.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “This is fantastic news for Isabella, which just shows how much talent she has in a multitude of different areas.
“Gaining a most improved award is always down to how hard a person works throughout the season, and this has continued into her music studies outside of the classroom, which is absolutely fantastic.”
