A Preparatory School performing artists achieved success at a prestigious regional competition recently.
Isabella Peevor, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, managed to secure two certificates from the Chester Competitive Festival of Performing Arts, which took place earlier this month.
The 11-year-old turned in a fabulous effort in the Year 5 and 6 solo drama category, where she was awarded a Merit by adjudicators.
This was swiftly followed by another strong showing in the Year 6 Own Choice Verse Speaking event, where Isabella scored an impressive 85 to receive a commendation.
The pupil collected her certificates from Deputy Head Alison Hind together with a generous round of applause at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, March 23.
This is the latest in a long line of triumph for the ambitious Pembroke House Captain, who has achieved regional and national accolades in areas such as art and sport during the academic year.
Mrs Hind, said: “Issy has been working very hard with our staff to ensure she put in a good performance at the festival, and we are delighted that this has paid off with two outstanding results.
“Hopefully this will spur her on as she looks to progress her talents in the coming years as she begins the next stage of her development at our senior facility at Rydal Penrhos.”
