Two Sixth Form pupils at Rydal Penrhos will be tasked with overseeing an important Committee after being chosen for exciting new roles.

Ioan Peake-Jones and Matt Fiorita, Year 12 pupils at the school, have been appointed as the Co-Chairs of the school’s Health and Wellbeing Committee, and they both begin their new roles with immediate effect.

The duo will aim to make a significant impact as part of the committee, which aims to enhance and support the development of Health and Wellbeing matters at Rydal Penrhos, which has been a huge topic of discussion nationwide in recent months.

Both Ioan and Matt have been a part of the Rydal Penrhos community for a considerable period, with each pupil achieving a significant amount academically and during co-curricular activities.

This is just one of many leadership opportunities available as part of the school’s thriving Sixth Form, with those living and learning at the site presented with the chance to join various committees or apply for the coveted Prefect positions.

Acting Head Sally Harding, said: “The wellbeing of each and every pupil is at the heart of everything we do in school; a happy child is also a child who will learn effectively and make the most of the many opportunities Rydal Penrhos offers.

“Ioan and Matt are a fantastic example of  the type of characteristics we look to install into every pupil under our care here at Rydal Penrhos, and they are going to a considerable amount of good in their new roles.”
