Hundreds raised from FORPS Chocolate Bingo

Hundreds of pounds were raised from an annual fundraising event at Rydal Penrhos.

The Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee held their Chocolate Bingo event at the Prep Hall on Friday, March 23, with all proceeds raised going towards projects at the school.

A host of chocoholics were given the chance to win a large selection of tasty treats during a series of bingo games which were conducted superbly by Stephen McKinnel.

There was also a huge Easter Hamper to be won in the raffle, which was awarded to Year 5 pupil Rana Abou-Samra.

There was also a popcorn machine and a wide selection of cakes for those in attendance to enjoy throughout, and £374.50 was raised from another hugely popular event put on by FORPS, who have done some amazing work during the academy year under the leadership of committee chair Gail Lavery.

A collection of Easter eggs were also donated by parents and will be given to Action for Children.

Prep School Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “As ever, we are indebted to the amazing work of our Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee, and on behalf of everyone at the school I would like to congratulate them on another hugely successful Chocolate Bingo event.

“Their support of projects throughout the school gives each pupil under our care the tools they need to thrive and reach their potential, and we are extremely grateful for the effort they put in to make Rydal Penrhos a better place.”
