A host of exciting trips have been organised as part of Rydal Penrhos’ summer playscheme.
The programme is “trying something different” this year and going off-site almost every day during an action-packed schedule, which plans to take full advantage of the fantastic location the school finds itself in right in the heart of the North Wales coast.
From July 23-27, excursions are planned to sites such as Penrhyn Castle and the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay, with a Coastal School session and an afternoon in the Forest are also scheduled.
This will be followed by visits to the Erddig Bugs Bonanza and Anglesey Sea Zoo during the week of July 30 until August 3, and the Playscheme group will also embark on the fantastic Abergele Trail on August 6.
That week also sees outings to Plas Newydd for their Bee Mini Explorers event, in addition to a walk up the picturesque Conwy mountain.
The week of August 13-17 begins with a day of fun-filled activities at Eirias Park, with Chirk Castle’s storybook trail, exploring the Little Orme and Greenacres Animal Park also on the agenda.
Bodnant Gardens, a day at the beach, Manorafon Farm Park and Newborough Forest are the highlights of the August 20-24 programme, With Greenwood Forest Park taking centre stage during the penultimate week of the Playscheme.
The schedule finishes with a short week ahead of the re-opening of Rydal Penrhos to begin the academic year, and all activities will be supervised by current staff situated at the Prep School.
