Rydal Penrhos’ impressive sporting facilities are being utilised by some high-profile teams over the Easter break.
The school, which recently hosted the French women’s rugby team before their successful Six Nations Grand Slam success over Wales, welcome three different squads within the space of a few days as they play fixtures throughout the region.
Connacht Rugby U17s will be training and stay at the site ahead of their clash with Sale Sharks over the weekend, while talented women’s cricket team Lancashire Thunder are also having a camp at Rydal Penrhos, where they will be using the school’s indoor and outdoor cricket facilities.
Rounding off the visits are the Independent School Lambs and Scotland U16 rugby squads, who will also be residing at the site for a brief time ahead of a tournament where they will play each other and also take on RGC at nearby Stadiwm Zip World in Colwyn Bay.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our sporting facilities are absolutely first class and this is reflected in the standard of team that comes to use them on a regular basis.
“These facilities also benefit each pupil under our care here at Rydal Penrhos, and along with the high level of coaching receive, this gives them the best possible chance of reaching their respective goals.
