Another Preparatory School pupil has successfully completed an ongoing learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular scheme for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and Year 6 pupil Henry Hibbert has now aced the entire scheme after obtaining her Stage Three Gold Award.
Also climbing the levels last week were the Year 6 duo of Telor Jones and Thomas Wale, who secured Stage Three Bronze, while Harry Nurse picked up his Stage One Gold.
All four received their certificates together with a generous round of applause from Deputy Head Alison Hind in front of the whole Prep School at their weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 4.
The Spelling Challenge is the latest in a series of academic initiatives put on by the Prep School in a bid to enhance the learning of each pupil under their care, something that has brought with it incredible results that will stand them in good stead for the future.
Mrs Hind, who devised the scheme last year, said: “Handing out Spelling Awards is always something I personally look forward to, and it is fantastic to see Henry join others that have completed the hugely popular initiative.
“Given how hard each pupil is working to climb through the levels, there is going to be plenty more to celebrate before they head off on their summer break.”
