A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has received a conditional offer to study at one of the most prestigious universities in the country.
Head Girl Gowri Pradeep, a Year 13 pupil at the school, will be aiming to secure the necessary A-level results this summer in order to secure her place at King’s College London, where she plans to study Medicine over a five-year period.
The influential figure has been a revelation in her role as Head Girl throughout the current academic year, and she has achieved a considerable amount since arriving at Rydal Penrhos as a Year 2 pupil in 2008.
She has secured a wealth of academic triumphs, a Conwy county netball selection and some impressive grading accolades from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
Gowri has also lent her support to the next generation of Rydal Penrhos pupils in her role as Prefect and Peer Mentor, and her charitable nature has seen her visit Uganda as part of a school charity mission.
There will be a familiar face at the university should Gowri attain her conditional place, with 2018 leaver Sara Owen also studying Medicine at the facility after overcoming adversity to secure an outstanding set of A-level results.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Gowri can only be described as a model pupil who has been a pleasure to have here at Rydal Penrhos.
“She is a wonderful role model who works incredibly hard not only in her own studies, but support and guide those following in her footsteps.”
