A hard-working Preparatory School has become the latest to complete an ongoing academic initiative.
Gracie Tavernor, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, successfully came through her final Spelling Challenge assessment with flying colours after a standout series of results.
Teaching staff devised the popular scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, with Gracie demonstrating fantastic commitment to the scheme in order to secure her Stage Three Gold accolade.
She received a certificate acknowledging her achievement from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Assistant Head Catherine Hughes at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 10, adding her name to the list of current and former pupils that have attained the same feat.
Mrs Hind, said: “Gracie has been such a credit to herself and everyone here at Rydal Penrhos, both from an academic perspective and throughout the wealth of co-curricular opportunities on offer.
“She has worked incredibly hard to complete the Spelling Challenge and can look back on her achievement with an enormous sense of pride.
“Gracie embodies everything we look to install into our pupils here at Rydal Penrhos from a very early age, and her experiences here will stand her in good stead ahead of her move to the Senior School later this year.”
