Girls' Hockey: End of Season Awards revealed

A large number of girls’ hockey players at Rydal Penrhos took home awards after catching the eye during another successful season.

It was another campaign of outstanding progress and development across all age groups at the school, and Head of Girls’ Games Nicky Head revealed the deserving recipients at Rydal Penrhos’ end of term Prizegiving prior to the summer break.

The Year 7 group made a hugely impressive start to Senior School competitive games, with sports scholar Jasmin Beckett Donald coming away with the Player of the Season Award following a series of standout displays.

Another to shine considerably was Ella Northcott, who picked up the Most Improved Player, with Tedi Holden coming away with the Most Improved (no previous experience) accolade.

Lily Davies produced a series of exceptional displays that earned her the Year 8 Player of the Year title, with Caitriona Searl winning Most Improved and Helen Liang (Most Improved no experience) also picking up accolades as a result of their superb efforts.

The Year 9 squad also performed well throughout the season, with the contribution made by Emily Stubbings seeing her crowned the Player of the Year.

Maddie Fardoe and Ester Ball-Iversen were also acknowledged with the Most Improved and Most Improved (no previous experience) titles respectively.

Goalkeeper Niamh Smith scooped the Year 10 Player of the Year Award, and the pair of Hannah Davies (Most Improved) and Gloria Johnson (Most Improved no experience) rounding off the achievements.
