There was fun and laughter aplenty in the name of charity thanks to a special event at Rydal Penrhos Prep School prior to the half term break.
The Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee held their Pre-Prep and Prep Valentine’s Discos on Friday, February 15, which was in aid of a regional sporting charity and projects across the school.
The committee, who comprise of school parents, decorated the Hall with hundreds of balloons and colourful lights, while the new addition of a Popcorn machine proved to be most popular.
Pre-Prep and Prep children danced the evening away, played games and even got the chance to dress up in the ever-popular photo booth.
Although the final total has not been revealed, hundreds of pounds were raised from the event, which will be split between Disability Skiing Wales and the FORPS Fund.
DSW train volunteers and work with disabled people on dry ski slopes in Wales, including the dry slope situated in Llandudno.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our FORPS Committee does so much incredible work throughout the academic year for worthy causes across the region, as well as contributing significantly to projects at various departments at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep and Senior Schools.
“Our Valentine’s Discos really capture the imagination of our young children, and it a great way for them to unwind after what has been a very busy half term both academically and from a co-curricular perspective.”
