A parent-led group at Rydal Penrhos will be holding two special Preparatory School events in aid of a regional sporting charity.
The Friends of Rydal Penrhos Committee will be holding their fundraising Pre-Prep and Prep Valentine’s Discos on Friday, February 15, where the School Hall will be decorated with hundreds of balloons and colourful lights, in addition to the ever-popular Photo Booth.
There will also be a welcome return of the Popcorn machine for those in attendance, with all proceeds split between Disability Skiing Wales and the FORPS Fund, which assists various projects across all departments at Rydal Penrhos.
A total of £775.58 was raised from last year’s event, which added to the thousands raised at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep School site for worthy causes throughout the region and beyond during the academic year.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “We are indebted to our Friends of Rydal Penrhos Committee for the hard work they put in across the school, and our Valentine’s Discos are always sense of great excitement for our wonderful pupils.
“Hopefully this year’s event can be equally as successful as those that have been held in previous years, and it promises to be a fantastic occasion and a brilliant way to sign off the school week.”
The Early Years and Pre-Prep Disco will take place from 3.30-4.30pm, with the Prep Disco from 4.30-6pm.
Disability Skiing Wales train volunteers and work with disabled people on dry ski slopes in Wales, including the dry slope situated in Llandudno.
