A host of activities have been planned for one of the most highly anticipated dates on the Rydal Penrhos calendar.
The school will once again welcome back former pupils and staff members for their annual Founders’ Weekend, which will take place from Friday, September 22 until Sunday 24.
The festivities will begin with a Founders’ Day Service from 3.30pm on Friday, which will have a guest speaker in the form of The Reverend Professor David Wilkinson.
Rydal Penrhos will be giving the opportunity for alumni to take a special tour of the school from 10.30am, where they can see for themselves the changes that have taken place in addition to seeing some of their old haunts once again.
The Natalie Kate Moss trophy will be up for grabs as the Old Girls compete against the school's First XI Hockey contest, which will take place on the Astro from 12.30pm.
A buffet lunch will then be put on at 1.30pm, before the school’s Community Choir will be holding a Music Workshop from 2-4pm.
There will be a competitive double-header from 2.30pm, with the Old Girls taking on the First VII netball side in the sports hall, while the First XI Hockey side will be taking on an Old Boys side on the Astro.
Attention will then turn to St George’s Hall in Llandudno for a ‘90s reunion, where former pupils will enjoy a three course dinner and disco with music from the era.
Sunday sees rugby take centre stage with the Vikings clash, which will be followed by a Barbecue to round of the weekend.
