A former Rydal Penrhos pupil has been speaking after his video of an impromptu motorway game of cricket went viral.
Jon Davies was travelling with Mochdre Seconds on Saturday, June 3 when a Police incident caused the A55 expressway to come to a complete standstill.
The team decided got their bats and balls out to have a match on the road, and the video has already had more than 1.5million views online.
Speaking to the Daily Post, Mr Davies said: “There were 13 of us in total, in four cars, who were on the way to the Brymbo when we got stuck on the A55.
“It was great, three of the team got their full kits on and we had a game.
“There were other children who were going past on blades or on skateboards.
“People were having a bit of light-hearted fun while they waited.
“The game lasted about an hour. We were there for about five hours on the A55, never made it to the game and eventually got back home about 5.45pm.”
The queues reached as far back as ten miles and lasted for five hours, but thankfully the incident came to a safe conclusion.
