A host of Preparatory School pupils have successfully climbed the ladder of an ongoing learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a number have already completed the challenge since its inception.
Five pupils received their certificates at various levels from Deputy Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 2, with Chloe Tillman-Lennon securing her Stage Three Bronze award and is just two steps away from completion.
Year 6 pupil Telor Jones passed his Stage Two Silver Award with flying colours, while Head Girl Cerys Williams and Elise Mazars are now proud owners of the Stage Two Bronze certificate.
Rounding off the successes was Williams McLaughlin, who will now move up a level after sealing his Stage One Gold.
Mrs Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge continues to go from strength-to-strength, and it always gives me great excitement to hand out certificates to those that have passed different levels.
“It is a fantastic way for them to expand their vocabulary while receiving recognition in the process, and well done to Chloe, Telor, Cerys, Elise and William on their continued efforts.”
