A number of Preparatory School pupils performed well for their local Pony Club at a competitive regional competition.
Charlotte and Ella Payne, together with Freddie and Rupert Barrington Chance, formed part of the Aberconwy Pony Club that took part in the Area 5 Triathlon event.
The competition consisted of a run, before each pupil navigated the shooting section of the triathlon before swimming as far as they could within a two-minute period to complete the race.
All four pupils performed exceptionally well in cold and windy conditions to secure impressive individual placings, which contributed to Aberconwy’s creditable fifth-placed finish overall in the face of some stern competition in the team category.
This is the latest in a series of outstanding achievements from the foursome as part of their ongoing efforts with the club, and they received recognition from Prep School Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 18.
Mrs Hind, said: “Charlotte, Ella, Freddie and Rupert have been incredibly busy across a wide range of different areas, and it is great to see their hard work paying off with some impressive results.
“Their co-curricular efforts are matched by their excellent progression academically, and each of them can be enormously proud of not only their ongoing success at Aberconwy Pony Club, but their overall contribution to life here at Rydal Penrhos Prep School.”
