A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos looks set to continue his pursuit of a career in Engineering after securing some outstanding university offers.
Ewan Luke, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has worked incredibly hard during the application process and this has been acknowledged with four conditional places at further education establishments across the country.
The Prefect and House Captain has been offered a place at the University of Bath on their Mechanical Engineering (with placement) degree course, with the pupil also securing a provisional spot at the University of Southampton, where he has the option to study Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Placement Year pending the necessary A-level results this summer.
He has also received an offer from the University of Exeter on their Mechanical Engineering with Year in Industry, with Ewan achieving a conditional place on the Mechanical Engineering course at the University of Loughborough.
Ewan has enjoyed a fantastic period at Rydal Penrhos that began as a Reception class child back in 2008, developing academically and thriving in a sporting environment.
The Upper Sixth Former is one of the leading lights of the school’s RYA accredited sailing provision, with Ewan a member of the Team GB youth squad alongside Zac Blomeley.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Ewan is another fine example of what can be achieved from an exceptional academic and co-curricular education here at Rydal Penrhos, and we are absolutely thrilled that he has achieved so many conditional university offers in his field of choice.”
