A thriving academic department at Rydal Penrhos will host the start of an exciting new club centred on reading and creative writing next week.
The school’s English department have announced that a new Reading and Creative Writing Club will begin later this month, with the first session planned for Monday, February 11.
These will be held at Rydal Penrhos’ Learning Resource Centre and will be supervised by dedicated staff at the school for anyone wishing for some quiet reading time or to get their creative juices flowing in the form of the written word.
They will take place twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, and staff will also be giving helpful tips to improve your writing in areas such as developing characters, paragraph formation, meaningful dialogue and setting up a good plot.
This is the latest in a long line of additional learning methods implemented throughout all areas of life at Rydal Penrhos, with the Reading and Creative Writing Club starting at 1.30pm.
Teacher Martin Brown, said: “We have set up the Reading and Creative Writing Club to inspire, explore and discover new worlds and ideas.
“Come armed with a mighty pen or favourite book and be ready to start your adventure.”
