Three determined Preparatory School pupils moved a step closer to completing a popular academic initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a plethora of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Year 5 pupil Ellie Knight is now on the final level of the challenge after successfully completing her Stage Two Gold Award, meaning she is now just three assessment away from reaching the milestone.
There was further cause for celebration in the form of the Year 4 duo Emily Nurse and Martha-Rose Johnson, who also secured their Stage Two Gold Award after working incredibly hard prior to the tests.
Each pupil received a certificate acknowledging their achievement at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 8.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge has really thrived since its inception, and it has become an essential part of the learning process for our children in a relatively short space of time.
“Ellie, Martha-Rose and Emily are prime examples of this success, and we are delighted with the way each of them have progressed and developed their vocabulary in recent months.”
