A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos is set to pursue a career in Business Management after securing some impressive university offers.
Elan Watkin Jones, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has been rewarded for an exceptional application and interview process with a series of conditional offers from further education establishments in the South East.
She has chosen the University of East London as her preferred destination, where she plans to study Business Management upon receiving the necessary A-level results this summer.
The 17-year-old has also selected London South Bank University as her conditional insurance option on the same degree course.
This represents a significant achievement for a pupil that has put in a great deal of work during her time as a member of the school’s Sixth Form community, which has seen Elan become a valued member of the Year 13 group.
Her efforts within the A-level Business module have been a source of great encouragement over a two-year period, with Elan’s Athletics ability also coming to the fore during Sports Day and regional competitions.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Elan has worked incredibly hard during her Sixth Form studies here at Rydal Penrhos and I am thrilled that she has secured some really impressive university offers.
“She integrated extremely well upon joining the school and is another fine example of what can be achieved under the guidance and support of our passionate staff team.”
