Two more Preparatory School pupils have achieved further success as part of an ongoing learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised the popular Spelling Challenge scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, with the trio receiving their respective accolades from Executive Principal John Waszek and Prep School Head Alison Hind at the facility’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 17.
Year 3 pupil Ella Payne has demonstrated exceptional application throughout the challenge, and she is now just two steps away from completion despite her tender age after successfully coming through her Stage Three Bronze assessment with flying colours.
There was further cause for celebration as Year 2 pupil Ella Ffowcs-Williams managed to attain her Stage One Gold Award in recognition for her outstanding efforts.
Mrs Hind, said: “It is always fantastic to see our younger pupils bringing their vocabulary and spelling along both in a classroom environment and during the challenge, which has been a very useful learning tool for their overall academic progression.
“Both our Ellas can look back on their efforts so far with a great source of pride, and given how quickly each is advancing through the challenge there is no doubt they can secure further success in the future.”
