A Preparatory School year group have received details for an exciting annual residential trip.
Head of Boys’ Games and Trip Co-ordinator Jamie McLeod has revealed an action-packed schedule for the Year 5 residential to Wilderhope Manor and Ironbridge, which will take place from April 29 until May 1.
There will be a wealth of activities for the Rydal Penrhos contingent to enjoy throughout their stay, including a visit to the Museum of the Gorge, a World Heritage Site that will provide the pupils with a fascinating insight into the history of the picturesque landmark.
Another exciting excursion is a trip to the Jackfield Tile Museum for a tour and a hands-on workshop based upon creating their own decorated tile, and the group will also be travelling back in time during a Victorian School workshop at Blists Hill, as well as touring around this truly memorable recreated Victorian town.
Those interested in Science and Technology will undoubtedly enjoy the planned visit to Enginuity, which will be packed with hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and a “Table Tennis Triathlon” workshop.
A bumper programme is scheduled during the evening, which includes a tubing/cinema evening as well as sports tournaments and quizzes.
Mr McLeod, said: “I have undertaken an inspection visit of the venues and have been very impressed by all the attractions along with the superb facilities available at the hostel which is a Grade I listed Elizabethan Manor house.”
