A cricket team consisting of former pupils have announced a new committee to drive them forward and add to their rich history.
The Rydal Dolphins have contributed significantly to a wealth of different events and fundraising drives associated with the school over the years, and this promises to continue long into the future thanks to the re-structuring of its committee with the addition of three new members to the set-up.
A new era now dawns for the team thanks to the hard work of the new committee, who are looking to restore the squad back to prominence within the Rydal Penrhos community.
Ben Griffin has taken up the role of chairman, with friend and former pupil Marcus Copeland assuming the role of club secretary.
Rounding off the new committee is Jon Davies, who has been appointed treasurer during what is an extremely exciting time for the team.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “The Dolphins have been a hugely influential part of cricketing history here at Rydal Penrhos, and hopefully with a newly formed committee they can continue to go from strength-to-strength and I wish them well with their efforts.
“They have done an enormous amount of good for the school as was recently demonstrated with their generous donation towards our outdoor cricket nets development, which is going to benefit our aspiring players’ development considerably for the foreseeable future.”
