A talented young cricketer has earned another prestigious selection to one of the best county programmes in the country.
Arran Sen, a Year 8 pupil at the school, has been selected to the Lancashire U13 squad after impressing coaches considerably during their annual trial process.
The sports scholar will be part of the team that takes on Nottinghamshire today (Wednesday), in addition to other high-profile fixtures throughout the summer.
He was also part of the set-up last season and took part in their landmark tour of Mumbai, India, which was another massive learning curve for the promising teenager.
Arran has produced a series of fine efforts as part of the Colwyn Bay Seconds, who were promoted to the Liverpool and District 2nd XI Premier Division last season, and he also represents Stretford during his time away from Rydal Penrhos.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Arran is a tremendous prospect that is working incredibly hard on all areas of his game, something that is bringing significant results.
“His influence within the Lancashire youth set-up has obviously not gone unnoticed by selectors, and he really has the ability to turn any game on its head when he has the ball in his hands.
“We are proud to be playing a part in Arran’s development from a coaching and conditioning perspective, and the sky is the limit from him if he continues to show the same sort of commitment to his craft alongside his academic studies.”
