An ambitious Preparatory School performing artist has been speaking after playing a part in a high-profile pantomime.
Cerys Williams, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, was part of the Peter Pan pantomime cast at Venue Cymru throughout the festive season, and the Head Girl was joined by a host of familiar faces including former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas and Pauline Daniels.
She said: “It was a lot of hard work but also very exciting to be a part of.
“We did 20 shows in total, which involved one dance and then some acting. I have done it twice before so I knew what to expect and I found it a lot easier this time as I was performing with people my own age rather than a younger group.
“What I really enjoyed was at the end of the show you got to go up on the stage where the audience would give you a massive round of applause, which was nice.”
The 10-year-old has set her sights on a possible career in the industry in the future, and has also achieved a host of co-curricular awards in recent weeks related to Performing Arts.
“We were given some flowers after the first show and at the end we got a programme signed by all the cast members,” added Cerys.
“Dancing and Acting is definitely something I want to pursue as a career in the future.”
