A determined Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to complete an ongoing academic initiative.
Cameron Pye, a Year 5 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, successfully came through her final Spelling Challenge assessment with flying colours after a standout series of results.
Teaching staff devised the popular scheme for pupils in 2017, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, with Gracie demonstrating fantastic commitment to the scheme in order to secure her Stage Three Gold accolade.
He received a certificate acknowledging his achievement from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Executive Principal John Waszek at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 17, adding his name to the list of current and former pupils that have attained the same feat.
Mrs Hind, said: “Cameron has worked incredibly hard to complete the Spelling Challenge in double-quick time, and he can be enormously proud of his efforts throughout.
“This has undoubtedly aided his overall development within a classroom environment considerably, and it always fills me with a great sense of pride to see our young pupils embracing another of our very successful academic initiatives here at Rydal Penrhos.
“Hopefully this is a trend that can continue long into the future and congratulations go to Cameron on his wonderful achievement.”
