Generous pupils at Rydal Penrhos will be holding a fundraising event to raise additional funds for their ongoing charity work in Uganda.
Members of the school are hosting a Cake Sale at break on Monday, March 26 in aid of the Hope Street project, where a team from Rydal Penrhos visited last summer.
Officials organising the project, which provides food, medical supplies and counselling to homeless people thanks to the donations of various different chairities including Rydal Penrhos, have issued an urgent appeal due to a critical supply shortage.
More than £1,000 raised by the Friend of Rydal Penrhos Committee from their Secrets Room will be sent over and will go a long way to aiding the project for a significant period, and the money raised from next week’s sale will also be sent over to give them an additional boost.
Charity Trellis Arch are also raising funds for the project, and anyone wishing to make a donation through them can do so at the following link: http://trellisarch.org/
Those making a donation through Trellis Arch are asked that you state the funds being given are to be used for the Hope Street Uganda project, as the charity work within a number of different areas within the country.
