Talented footballers battled it out for bragging rights at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Inter-Boarding House tournament.
The competition took place on Saturday, January 14 and saw five teams competing for the coveted crown, which was held by Beecholme after their convincing win at the 2017 event.
Netheron began with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Hathaway, while the Beecholme Junior side managed to defeat a spirited effort from Edwards.
The holders were in dominant mood from the outset and managed to seal a 2-1 success over Hathaway, which booked their place in the final against Netherton.
After a highly competitive affair, the reigning champions defended their trophy thanks to a narrow 2-1 victory, meaning Tawanda Harris, Head Boy Alex Benfield, Will Lynch, Jack Jones, Gabriel Dahle, Volodymyr Khodakovskyi and Felix Fink took home the title for a second successive year.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “It was a very enjoyable competition with plenty of talent on show, and congratulations go to Beecholme on retaining the crown.
“Our House competitions are always a source of great pride for both pupils and staff here at Rydal Penrhos, and it was great to see this particular competition being played with a tremendous spirit once again.”
