Art pupils at Rydal Penrhos have received praise ahead of a special event this week.
The department will be hosting an A-levell and GCSE exhibition, which will take place at the Art Department on Friday, June 23.
Parents, staff and pupils are welcome to attend the event, which will run from 4.30-6.30pm and both teachers and the young artists will be on hand to answer any questions those attending may have about their fabulous work.
Head of Art Mark Sherrington, said: “It has been a good year with some strong painting and print work done by the GCSE pupils.
“It has been heartening to see how the skills of the pupils has really developed from Year 10 to create some mature and sophisticated painting.
“The A-level photography and Textiles is particularly strong this year with some surprising and innovative work. The way the pupils have combined materials and different ways of working demonstrates how confident and creative they have become.
“I am pleased for the pupils that they are ending on a high. The moderator enjoyed looking through all the sketchbooks when he came to check the marks and was particularly impressed with some of the three dimensional approach to Photography by the A-level group.”
Light refreshments will be available for those who attend.
