Rydal Penrhos is seeking volunteers to organise an impressive collection of historical documents and artefacts associated with the school.
The popular Richards Room was recently moved to a more spacious location on site, giving the chance to showcase more of Rydal Penrhos’ rich history that spans more than a century.
A special Archives Volunteer Day has been arranged for Saturday, February 9, where staff, pupils, alumni and people associated with the school are being invited to give up their time to explore the contents of the archives and arrange them for display.
Alumni and Development director Sarah Ritchie, said: “We have a fantastic archives collection at Rydal Penrhos, however we need your help to sort and catalogue the contents.
“After moving location several times the archives are not in order and finding what you are looking for is quite a challenge.
“This is the perfect opportunity for you to explore the contents of the archives store and see what you can find.”
The Richards Room will be open from 10am until 4pm for those wanting to get involved, and lunch will be provided for anyone volunteering.
Anyone wishing to take part in the Archives Volunteer Day can register online at https://rydalpenrhos.fluencycms.co.uk/Archives-Day.
