Three more Preparatory School pupils have achieved success as part of an ongoing learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a plethora of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Year 6 duo Cieran Milligan and Freya Berklay are now just two steps away from completing the Challenge after successfully coming through their Stage Thee Bronze assessments with flying colours, and Angus Holland picked up his Stage One Bronze Award as a reward for his outstanding determination.
Each pupil received a certificate acknowledging their achievement from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Executive Principal John Waszek at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, March 8.
Mrs Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge is something that all of our children take a great deal of pride in, and whether it be at Stage One or Stage Three they get an enormous amount of the initiative in terms of confidence and a sense of achievement.
“Angus, Cieran and Freya deserve all the credit in the world for applying themselves significantly to the challenge, and hopefully they will be celebrating further achievements in the not-too-distant future.”
