A host of talented musicians living and learning at Rydal Penrhos took the stage for the first concert of the academic year.
The school’s musical talent showcased their immense prowess at a Young Performers’ Concert prior to the half term break, which saw a large audience descend on the Memorial Hall for a wonderful two-hour event.
Each pupil worked closely under the guidance and support of Director of Music Pete Williams and teacher Richard Davies in the lead-up to the event, which is one of many concerts put on by Rydal Penrhos throughout the year with a view to improving confidence and ability of performing in front of a live crowd on a consistent basis.
There were a host of outstanding contributions throughout the concert, with Lower Sixth Form pupil Zahra Shamsi demonstrating his incredible vocal range with another string solo effort, with the outstanding Harmoinix group also catching the end during another exceptional display of the fine work taking place at the school’s Music department across all age groups.
Mr Williams, said: “Our Young Performers’ Concert was another massive triumph and I would like to thank each pupil involved on their truly wonderful efforts.
“I consider myself extremely fortunate to get the chance to work with such incredible pupils that not only possess an enormous amount of ability, but also listen, learn and get better on a daily basis.”
