A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos is looking to pursue an exciting career following a successful university application process.
Alistair Irvine, a Year 13 pupil at the school, has received five conditional offers relating to his chosen field after producing a hugely impressive series of documents to prospective further education establishment under the guidance and support of dedicated staff at Rydal Penrhos.
The pupil has secured a provisional place on the Chemical Engineering degree course at the University of Edinburgh, providing he secures the necessary A-level results this summer.
He has also achieved conditional places at Leeds University, the University of Sheffield, the University of Manchester and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh on the same Chemical Engineering course.
Alistair has made a considerable impact since joining Rydal Penrhos as a Year 12 pupil in 2017, forming some lasting friendships and emerging as a valuable member of the Sixth Form community.
He is a talented pianist and also a supremely gifted actor and gave a wonderfully emotive performance during his recent A-Level Drama examination.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Alistair is such a polite and hard-working young man who has really thrived during his within our fantastic Sixth Form here at Rydal Penrhos.
“He seems to be able to turn his hand to anything and this is sure to bode well ahead of his A-level examinations and his journey throughout university.”
