Preparatory pupils at Rydal Penrhos took part in a special fundraising event in aid of a national cause.
The school held a Sports Activity afternoon on Tuesday, March 20, which was held to raise funds for the biennial event Sport Relief.
Organised and hosted by the Year 6 group, each pupil was given the chance to take part in a number of sport-themed games, which included a penalty shootout and skills drill in the football section.
Those with a passion for rugby showcased their passing ability by passing the ball through a hoop, while budding speed demons took part in a special timed sprint and relay.
A number of indoor games were also available in the Senior School sports hall, which centred around popular games such as tennis, netball and gymnastics, together with an obstacle course and hula hooping.
More than £350 has been raised for Sport Relief so far, with some donations still to be collected.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “This was another fantastic fundraising event put on by our wonderful staff, and they were helped greatly by Year 6 who were key components in the whole running of the Sports Activity afternoon.
“Sport Relief is just one of many regional, national and international causes we raise money for throughout the academic year, and each event we put on is always extremely well supported for which we are very grateful.”
