A group of talented Preparatory School gymnasts have received a letter of praise from a leading community figure following their recent competition success.
Against some stiff competition from clubs across North Wales and the North West - including Wrexham and Deeside gymnastics clubs - Will Glanville, Tomas Milligan, Xavier Poynton and Oscar Jewsbury took home an incredible nine medals between them across a number of disciplines at the Buckley Invitational Gymnastics competition.
The quartet’s achievements caught the attention of Aberconwy Assembly Member Janet Finch-Saunders, who took time out of her busy schedule to write a special letter of congratulations to the Rydal Penrhos pupils.
The letter said: “I'm writing to offer my sincere congratulations on your recent achievements. To take home nine medals between you when up against such stiff competition shows how much dedication and hard work you have put in.
“With such a high calibre of ability, across a number of disciplines, it is clear you all have immense promise for both your club and school. You must all be exceptionally proud of your achievements."
All four competitors are part of the Grays Gymnastics Club based in Llandudno and have all shown immense promise in the early stages of their development.
